Cornerstone Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced MARKET LEADER who will be responsible for identifying and generating new business through sales activities such as prospecting, telemarketing, territory planning, cold calls, and relationship building. Staffing Sales Background Required.

Experience overseeing multiple lines of business; including light industrial, logistics, manufacturing and administrative/clerical.

Track record of building and managing strong sales and operations teams, managing costs, budgeting, developing sales forecasting methods, improving margins, and increasing revenue.

This is an in-office role, with travel to client sites, where you’ll have the strong advantage of personal interaction amongst team members and clients.

Territory Baltimore Area and surrounding market areas, branch Location in Columbia, MD.

Market Leader – DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Market Leader will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and profitable operation of all branch activities.

Use the consultative sales strategy to effectively resolve client objections and maximize sales activity within assigned territory.

Evaluate and determine client needs and a plan of action to offer staffing solutions.

Collaborate with internal service staff to ensure that accounts sold are consistent with service resources and candidate pool.

In addition to reporting all financial and operations information to company management, the Market Leader is responsible for selling, hiring, training and coaching employees at the branch; in addition to helping with recruiting, as applicable.

Leadership:

  • Plan, organize and direct sales and operational activities and strategic objectives for assigned branch.
  • Ensure operational and financial performance is maintained, profit margins and revenue goals are achieved and other company goals are met or exceeded.
  • Lead by example. Demonstrate positive employee relations. Maintain open channels of communication and convert potential conflict to constructive ends.

Hiring and Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Ensure branch is fully staffed by developing and maintaining a pipeline of qualified internal candidates.
  • Effectively interview and onboard new hires, implement company training programs and lead with a results-based approach.
  • Ensure standards for activity, sales, service and performance are achieved.
  • Responsible for afterhours/emergency phone calls, emails and/or texts per branch rotation schedule.

Mentor, Train and Coach:

  • Create and encourage a culture of creativity and continuous learning to enhance the skills, competencies, and job satisfaction of branch team.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to support the achievement of branch and organizational goals.
  • Challenge and reward employees to grow in their responsibilities.

Consultative Selling:

  • Build, qualify, manage and maintain a database of clients and prospects that is aligned to the business opportunity in the market.
  • Clearly articulate Cornerstone’s abilities and competitive differentiators.
  • Achieve sales goals by demonstrating mastery of all essential selling techniques: prospecting and territory management, pre-call planning, cold calling, qualifying, proposals, presentations, gaining commitment.
  • Follow up to ensure successful results and post-sale customer satisfaction.
  • Grow market share.

Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain a network of contacts, both in and outside of the organization, useful in achieving work-related goals.
  • Build rapport and develop interpersonal business relationships with corporate and field colleagues.

Fiscal Responsibility:

  • Analyze and control expenditures of branch to conform to company guidelines.
  • Effectively manage and protect branch capital assets and accounts receivable.
  • Comply with and ensure all risk management and safety guidelines are adhered to.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a consistent history of staffing industry experience; most recently in a leadership role.
  • Experience overseeing multiple lines of business; including light industrial, logistics, manufacturing and administrative/clerical.
  • Track record of building and managing strong sales and operations teams, managing costs, budgeting, developing sales forecasting methods, improving margins, and increasing revenue.
  • Strong sales presentation and persuasion skills.
  • Work well within a quota driven environment.
  • Strong network of contacts.
  • “Hunter" – Focuses on new business development, quickly transitioning new accounts to service team with 12-24 months’ transition to maximize revenue.
  • Experience in the Staffing Industry a HUGE plus!

EDUCATION & ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Staffing Sales Background – 3 years Required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Operationally Strong a must.
  • Excellent time management, follow-through, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking for client site visits, may entail up to a 2 hour site visit timeframe.
